I am happy when don’t feel slave

I will not repeat the old discussion about monopoly techniques by MS and his boss BG. All the 90s and part of the new century ink rivers were wasted with few success. The man continues with his practices.

But when I found sites like ThinkFree. I feel a little less slave of that man. You can say “well you have Linux and other making their good” but my problem is that I am not very computer skilled to fight again the machine.

ThinkFree. is a jewel. You have a lot of functionality, a lot of well done web 2.0 and much more. And better of all it’s FREE. Free… You have Excel, Word, Powerpoint at a very high level, not full, but enough.

I like it, I use it and I recommend it. Broke the chains and give it an opportunity. It worth…

Success and your mind

One thing that makes me feel happiest is the internet. I think is the major revolution during twenty century and will pass a lot of time to fully exploit it and to have another so big instrument implemented. But one of the fascinating aspects of internet for me is the capability to find other people around the globe that think the same that you think.

This is a wonderful effect of blogs, for example, because blogs are sites where common people write.

In this case, I found a very good article about thinking in World Success, a site that I visit regularly. This article is about the advantages of the habit of thinking regularly every day. Is not only an idea that I agree, it is a practice natural for me. I take every night an hour or two some days in thinking about my job, my life, my dreams and so on.

Of course the article is very well written, much better that this one. I recommend that you read it and follow its advice.

Sometimes is difficult to say or The Godfather

Sometimes, some days, is difficult to say what things make me happy. The intention of this blog is to focus in small things as well as big ones, but in some “daily basis” because I thing that often we loose the sight.

However, not every day is so simple. Today I have a terrible day at work, with many problems and worse, stupid problems that demand my attention. I was very tired. So I remained watching TV after dinner in a kind of sofa. I wanted to sleep but I am a nightly man.

But when I was zapping between CNN and old movies in the high numbered channels, I found the thousand times broadcasted “The Godfather”. I thought “ok, I can say that this film is something that makes me happy. I watched one million times the film and I like it more and more. I never could be tired watching this movie. And you?

My daughter has her driver license

Today my daughter got her driver license. She now can drive a car. This makes me happy because this fact is a symbol of her independence, her adult age, and her beginning of her future.

To drive a car is not an extraordinary thing. But when I see my children growing and making themselves adults, I feel very glad and hoped.

In the modern world, to have a car (that she bought by herself) is a symbol of adult age. It means independence, ability to travel, know different places, and move from one site to another. It makes me happy.

My son is beginning his university career

Tomorrow my son is going to the university to begin with his engineer degree. He wants to make a Computer Engineering degree. Now he is and adult and this fact make me happy. I wish him that his career would be nice, exciting and profitable in all aspects.

He is a very smart person, with a clear notion of his duties and preferences, and with a hard toughness. He wants to be a good citizen with a clear social compromise. He is very nice, fun, and educated.

I think that all of us feel glad to see our children growing healthy, smarty and progressing. We passed all our lives dreaming and praying that god protect them. And when we see them happy, we are happy too.

Do you like your job?

This recurring question always follows me. I worked in many countries and in different positions. I have had jobs in small and big companies. I have had secondary jobs, and very well expected positions. Nevertheless, always the question is the same: do I like my job?

Now the answer is a sound yes. Mi actual job is a Project Manager position. I have the complete responsibility for planning, procurement, construction and commissioning of a big electrical infrastructure project. But these are not the important question.

The position itself is an exciting job. I have to consider many aspects. I feel that all the work is in my back, and failure and success is in my mind. I have a very skilled team, and this is a great support for me, but my feelings are that all the sort of the work will depend of my creativity.

I feel happy with this responsibility. I feel very happy. I am very glad with this destiny. Moreover, I am working very hard to success.

Filed under: Enjoy — johnscali @ 9:01 pm

OK, I say, we always say, that we like beautiful things. It’s easy to say. It looks good to say that. Where are the beautiful, wonderful, things? Here. In this blog, I’ve found this theme that looks great to me. Not is so because aesthetics. Therefore, I think is better because of functionality. It is a luxury theme in terms of functionality. Enjoy it!

My team at work

Most of we work in an environment populated by other people. Some of us have a work team. And some of we manage a work team, that is our responsibility. In my case, I am the project manager of a big project that is worth in 10 million dollars.

Five people form my team. When I arrived to the site I decided to manage the project with few well trained persons. And I chosen this persons very carefully.

In the beginning, I began talking with each one explaining my objectives and goals, and the way that the group must function. Sometimes these meetings were with the full team.

My surprise now is to check that all the group this completely convinced with the objectives and goals of the group. Each one of them understands what I desire, and has total willed to contribute what knows to obtain it.

This is something that makes me happy today.

Spend time with my children

These days I am spending a lot of time with my children. In case of my daughter, the excuse was teaching her to drive a car. Its amazing how you can learn about your children making together some activities like that.

She is applying to a driver license, and already bought a car. So, I have to go with her to a driver’s learning centre in the city government place. The city hall has a place to make driving applicants to practice. It’s a beautiful place, with a lot of trees, simulated streets, signalling and practical exercises.

My daughter is learning to drive, and I am learning about her. Her character, her way of thinking and learning, her way of live. This is a great moment for me. I enjoy that and it makes me happy.
